David A. Winand, MD, FACS
Advanced Vein & Laser Center. He specializes in treating varicose veins, venous disease, and superficial venous insufficiency, and he is an advocate for solutions that keep the side effects of any procedures to a minimum.
He was an outstanding student during his medical training, receiving the Dr. J. Robert Troyer Award for Excellence in Anatomy and the Dr. Herman Brown Award for Excellence in the Study of the Art and Science of Surgery, as well as being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society during his time at the School of Medicine at Temple University. He went on to complete his internship and residency in general surgery at Temple University Hospital, where he was awarded the H. Taylor Caswell Award as Outstanding Chief Resident in Surgery.
Dr. Winand then went on to study advanced vascular surgery at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where his teaching excellence earned him the prestigious Fellows Teaching Award. He has served as a member of the Lancaster surgical community for over 10 years, both at Lancaster General Health and as chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Dr. Winand’s extensive record of achievements and his fellowship from the American College of Surgeons speak volumes about his experience and expertise in the field of vascular surgery, and he’s justly recognized for his excellence in treating vein disorders at the Lancaster clinic.
